Baseball Recap: Nevada Takes a Loss

Nevada had taken Seneca down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Tigers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Nevada has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Seneca, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nevada will square off against Lone Jack at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seneca, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McDonald County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
