Soccer Recap: Mount Vernon Comes Up Short

Mount Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the North Lamar Panthers, falling 7-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against North Lamar this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in February.

Mount Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for North Lamar, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.

Coincidentally, Mount Vernon and North Lamar will both be playing Pleasant Grove the next time they take the pitch. The Tigers will host the Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Panthers will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
