Baseball Game Preview: Platte Valley Broncos vs. Estes Park Bobcats

Platte Valley has gone 9-1 against Estes Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Platte Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Estes Park at 3:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Platte Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Greeley Central 16-5 on Thursday. With that win, the Broncos brought their scoring average up to 8 runs per game.

Dagan Gomez was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Nick Silvas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Platte Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Estes Park never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over Weld Central.

Matthias Westley was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Hill, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Platte Valley now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Estes Park, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
