Football Recap: Atlantic Collegiate Academy Takes a Loss

Atlantic Collegiate Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They took a blow against the Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks, falling 47-0. While losing is never fun, the Armada can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Landsharks are ranked eighth).

As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2. That looming 47-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Zakhi Muncey produced another solid performance rushing for 79 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while also picking up 43 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Aiden Manavian, who threw for 222 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy has already played their next game, a 28-12 win against Marion on the 3rd. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-8 victory against Hanahan on the 3rd.
