Football Recap: Atlantic Collegiate Academy Takes a Loss

Atlantic Collegiate Academy had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-5 to make it seven. They were outmatched by the Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks and fell 47-0. Considering the last time the Armada couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Broderick Evans threw for 56 yards on nine of 16 attempts. Brennan Moore was his top target, picking up 28 receiving yards. On the ground, Semaj Wilson rushed for 36 yards.

As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2. That looming 47-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Zakhi Muncey produced another solid performance rushing for 79 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries, while also picking up 43 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Aiden Manavian, who threw for 222 yards and two TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy has already played their next contest, a 28-12 victory against Marion on the 3rd. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-8 win against Hanahan on the 3rd.
