Soccer Recap: Poplarville Comes Up Short

Poplarville and Sumrall squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Poplarville had to settle for second. They came up short against the Sumrall Bobcats, falling 3-0. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Poplarville now has a losing record at 11-12-2. As for Sumrall, they pushed their record up to 19-4-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.

Poplarville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sumrall, they will challenge Pass Christian on Saturday. Sumrall is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.8 goals per game this season.
