Soccer Game Preview: Heritage vs. Chapel Hill

The Heritage Huskies will face off against the Chapel Hill Tigers on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Heritage comes in on six and Chapel Hill on seven.

Heritage is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Apex Friendship a 3-0 shutout. Considering Heritage have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Apex Friendship with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emmerson Faris, Landry Boyles, and Nia Jones.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Chapel Hill sidestepped D.H. Conley for a 2-1 win. That's two games straight that Chapel Hill have won by just one goal.

Chapel Hill's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five games. As for Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 15-1-6.

Heritage skirted past Chapel Hill 1-0 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
