Commack put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Smithtown East Bulls by a score of 6-2. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 11-3 win back in April.

Kate Schweitzer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 15 Ks. Those 15 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Madison Johnston, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Sophia Emanuel also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Commack pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Smithtown East, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Commack will welcome Copiague at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Smithtown East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Babylon at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
