Baseball Recap: Ribault Wins Going Away Against FAMU DRS

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wolfson, Ribault was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Trojans' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

TJ Brant and Kenny Bibbins did most of the damage at the plate: Brant scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Bibbins scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Ribault is undefeated when Bibbins posts two or more runs, but 2-7 otherwise. CorVontae Appleberry was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Ribault moved to 7-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for FAMU DRS, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Ribault has already played their next contest, a 14-4 loss against Atlantic Coast on the 31st. As for FAMU DRS, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 19-10 defeat against Raines on the 29th.
