Soccer Game Preview: St. James vs. Porter-Gaud

The St. James Sharks will head out on the road to face off against the Porter-Gaud Cyclones at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. James' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

St. James fell victim to Wando and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Porter-Gaud kept a clean sheet against West Ashley on Tuesday. They skirted past the Wildcats 1-0.

St. James now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Porter-Gaud, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

St. James beat Porter-Gaud by a goal in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. James since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
