Auburn faced Enterprise in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Tigers took down the Wildcats 23-7. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

A big part of Auburn's victory came down to the chemistry between Cason Myers and his top target Joshua Askew. Myers threw for 194 yards and one touchdown while Askew picked up 82 receiving yards and one score.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Auburn, adding 11 points to the final score. All those points came courtesy of Joeseph Daniel: he added nine points with three field goals and another two kicking extra points.

When it comes to explaining why Enterprise lost, don't look at Jyrell Reese. Despite the final result, he rushed for 79 yards and one TD on only six carries.

The win made it two in a row for Auburn and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 17 points in those games. As for Enterprise, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Auburn didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-0 win against JAG on the 19th. As for Enterprise, they have also already played their next game, a 53-24 defeat against Central on the 19th.
