Softball Recap: Brashier Middle College Charter Comes Up Short

Brashier Middle College Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the High Point Academy Grizzlies, falling 9-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bengal of the 6-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Brashier Middle College Charter's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for High Point Academy, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.

Coming up, Brashier Middle College Charter will challenge Chesnee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chesnee's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Brashier Middle College Charter's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for High Point Academy, they will host Broome at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Broome has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.5 runs per game on average), something High Point Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
