Soccer Recap: River Forest Comes Up Short at Home Against Wheeler

River Forest unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Wheeler Bearcats on Tuesday, falling 9-0. River Forest haven't had much luck with Wheeler recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Wheeler's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

River Forest didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-2 loss against Westville on the 27th. As for Wheeler, they will welcome Hammond Bishop Noll at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hammond Bishop Noll will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Wheeler surely won't give up without a fight.
