Volleyball Recap: Chippewa Falls Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Chippewa Falls faced off against River Falls on Saturday. The Cardinals took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Riley Terhark paced Chippewa Falls' offense, picking up seven kills. Terhark got some help from Barrett Boisvert and her 14 assists.

Chippewa Falls' loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for River Falls, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Coming up, Chippewa Falls will face off against Eau Claire Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Cardinals their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for River Falls, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Stanley-Boyd on the 30th.
