Basketball Game Preview: Bayside Marlins vs. First Colonial Patriots

The Bayside Marlins will challenge the First Colonial Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bayside is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Bayside was beaten by Princess Anne 92-7. While losing is never fun, the Marlins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Cavaliers are ranked second).

Meanwhile, First Colonial had to suffer through a 77-16 loss at the hands of Salem. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Sundevils recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Bayside's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for First Colonial, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Bayside came up short against First Colonial when the teams last played back in January, falling 39-35. Can Bayside avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
