Volleyball Recap: Arlington Falls to Fort Calhoun in First Game of Season

Arlington kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Fort Calhoun Pioneers, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

While Arlington was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Fort Calhoun's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-23.

Fort Calhoun found their leader in sophomore Claire Pearson, who had 20 digs and three assists.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arlington will host Johnson County Central on Tuesday. As for Fort Calhoun, they will welcome Syracuse at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
