Volleyball Recap: Dunwoody Wildcats vs. Decatur Bulldogs
Dunwoody was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Decatur Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
Dunwoody was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Decatur work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-11.
Alexa Keefe and Simone Stroe certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Keefe had seven digs, two kills, and two aces, while Stroe had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Stroe has posted in her last five matchups.
Dunwoody's defeat dropped their record down to 15-21. As for Decatur, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
