Volleyball Recap: Duluth East Gets the Win

Duluth East hadn't done well against Hermantown recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Greyhounds walked away with a 3-1 win over the Hawks. This was payback for the Greyhounds, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 25-20, 25-17.

Harlow Hartwick paced Duluth East's offense, picking up 24 kills. Hartwick got some help from Chelsea Zentz and her 54 assists. Ella Tormondsen controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

The victory got Duluth East back to even at 2-2. As for Hermantown, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Coming up, Duluth East will host Cambridge-Isanti at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hermantown, they will head out to take on Proctor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rails will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
