Basketball Game Preview: Cochranton Cardinals vs. West Middlesex Big Reds

The Cochranton Cardinals and the West Middlesex Big Reds will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Cochranton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.

Cochranton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Jamestown to the tune of 70-41 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Cardinals with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, West Middlesex can finally bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Wilmington by a score of 49-37.

West Middlesex's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Cochranton, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Cochranton was able to grind out a solid victory over West Middlesex in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 47-40. Will Cochranton repeat their success, or does West Middlesex have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
