Hillcrest won the last time they faced Valley View and Matthew Ramos did his part to make sure it happened again. The Trojans claimed a resounding 41-7 win over the Eagles for which the team can thank Ramos, who threw for 192 yards and three TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also rushed for 114 yards and one score on only ten carries. His passing game has become a key predictor of Hillcrest's success: the team is 4-2 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Nicholas Shaw, who picked up 118 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 73 yards.

The victory got Hillcrest back to even at 5-5. As for Valley View, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 5-5.
