Basketball Recap: Bingham Comes Up Short

Bingham saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 75-69 to the Rock Canyon Jaguars.

Rock Canyon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob David led the charge by going 8-for-11 to rack up 21 points. The contest was David's fourth in a row with at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Kai Valentine, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.

Bingham's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Rock Canyon, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Bingham won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lehi at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rock Canyon, they and Corner Canyon will face off at 6:40 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The Jaguars will need to watch out since the Chargers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
