The Delta Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Coal Ridge Titans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Delta sitting on 12 straight wins and Coal Ridge on 14.
On Saturday, Delta made easy work of Basalt and carried off a 12-2 victory. Considering the Panthers have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Landon Kennell made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two triples, and three runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jhett Ryan, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ripp Lockhart, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Delta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Coal Ridge hadn't done well against Rifle recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Titans blew past the Bears 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won 17 games by six runs or more so far this season.
George Roberts was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Dylan Miller was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Coal Ridge's win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Delta, their record is now 16-5.
Delta skirted past Coal Ridge 4-3 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
