Softball Recap: Faith Lutheran Comes Up Short

Faith Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Bishop Gorman Gaels, falling 15-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Faith Lutheran saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Walsh, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Faith Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Bishop Gorman, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Lutheran will host Green Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bishop Gorman, they will welcome Silverado at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Skyhawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.17 runs per game on average), something the Gaels will no doubt try to take advantage of.
