Baseball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Skyline Eagles, falling 12-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Monday.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Skyline, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8-1 record this season.

While Monroe had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
