Baseball Recap: Strawberry Crest Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Strawberry Crest can now relate to. They fell 8-4 to the Newsome Wolves on Saturday. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 11-6.

Chase Conti was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Strawberry Crest has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-9 record this season. As for Newsome, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Strawberry Crest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newsome, they will head out to take on Venice at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
