Basketball Game Preview: Science Leadership Academy at Beeber Rockets vs. Penncrest Lions

The Science Leadership Academy at Beeber Rockets will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Penncrest Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Science Leadership Academy at Beeber beat Frankford 62-58. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rockets.

Science Leadership Academy at Beeber got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Drew Holland out in front who posted 15 points. Holland's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aziz Collins, who earned 14 points.

Meanwhile, Penncrest put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 65-52 win over Marple Newtown.

Penncrest pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Science Leadership Academy at Beeber, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Science Leadership Academy at Beeber ended up a good deal behind Penncrest in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, losing 54-40. Can Science Leadership Academy at Beeber avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
