Basketball Game Preview: Poquoson Islanders vs. York Falcons

Poquoson is on a five-game streak of home losses, York an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Poquoson Islanders will host the York Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Poquoson was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 39-38 to Jamestown.

Meanwhile, York came up short against Warhill on Wednesday, falling 64-38. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 349th, while the Lions are ranked 164th).

York's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Poquoson, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
