Volleyball Recap: Christ Church Episcopal Falls Despite Big Games from Millie Cain and Hadley Walker

If Christ Church Episcopal was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Carolina Day last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cavaliers came up short against the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Cavaliers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Christ Church Episcopal was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23, 25-20.

Christ Church Episcopal's loss came despite strong showings from Hadley Walker and Millie Cain. Walker had 19 digs, while Cain had 11 digs and three aces.

St. Joseph's Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but ALICIA HANLEY led the charge by getting 16 assists and five digs. JULIA LYONS also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Christ Church Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season.
