Volleyball Recap: Fort Bend Marshall Starts off Right with Win over Carnegie Vanguard

Fort Bend Marshall gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos by a score of 3-1. For the Buffalos, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Rhinos walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-16, 22-25, 25-16.

Emariya Buie paced Fort Bend Marshall's offense, picking up 18 kills. Buie got some help from Laniah Feagins and her 22 assists. Buie was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Fort Bend Marshall will face off against Alief Elsik at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carnegie Vanguard, they will take on Fort Bend Dulles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
