A-8 East - Black Forest (8 Man) recap November 5, 2013

Adding to the longest winning streak in A-8 East - Black Forest (8 Man) this week, Simla beat Akron 60-44. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Cubs.

Kiowa took down Merino 40-22 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jack Thomas ran for 183 yards during the win.

Damian Bell was a beast in the backfield as Simla defeated the Rams.

Steven Mizak made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Indians topped the Rams. The 6-foot-1 senior nabbed 2 interceptions and grabbed 1 sack.

Bell was a passing and rushing force as Shane Zimmerman's team bested Akron.

Bell was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 34 carries, he ran for 409 yards as the Cubs topped Merino. Kyler Hamacher also contributed to the rushing game with 45 yards on the ground.

Kiowa's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Mizak has thrown for 638 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Janes has 21 catches for 292 yards.

Simla led the league in scoring this week by notching 60 points on Jerome Weers' team. Bell ran for 409 yards in the win.
