Volleyball Game Preview: Mendota Trojans vs. Newman Central Catholic Comets + How To Watch

Mendota is 2-7 against Newman Central Catholic since September of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Trojans will head out to square off against the Comets at 6:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Mendota came up short against Somonauk and fell 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Newman Central Catholic had just enough and edged out Morrison 2-1 on Monday.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Newman Central Catholic got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-23, 23-25, 25-17.

Newman Central Catholic's victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 9-15. As for Mendota, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-18.

Mendota couldn't quite get it done against Newman Central Catholic in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
