Volleyball Recap: Newton Comes Up Short

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Hutchinson Salthawks. The Railroaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Salthawks earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-16.

Newton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Hutchinson, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Newton will square off against Andover on Tuesday. As for Hutchinson, they will host Maize at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
