Conard faced Simsbury in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Red Wolves lost 3-0 to the Trojans. The Red Wolves' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Kate R paced Conard's offense, picking up eight kills. R got some help from Jayme K and her 15 assists. Aubrey M controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Emily Elias was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 15 digs and one assist. Elias is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

Conard's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Simsbury, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
