Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North dropped their record down to 26-4 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Sharyland Rattlers by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raiders have suffered since March 14th.

As for Sharyland, they pushed their record up to 20-6-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games.

For Sharyland's part, Emilio Villarreal tossed a big game, not allowing a single hit while striking out ten over 5.2 innings pitched. Villarreal has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Fabrizio Salinas was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Carlos Pascual, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

While Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
