Baseball Recap: Belton Comes Up Short

Belton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Lee's Summit Tigers, falling 16-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 9-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Belton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Lee's Summit, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 23-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belton will challenge Grain Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lee's Summit, they will square off against Lee's Summit North at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
