Monrovia won the last time they faced Speedway and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sparkplugs, sneaking past 6-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Monrovia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Oliphant, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Monrovia now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Speedway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monrovia will take on North Putnam at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Speedway, they will square off against Lapel at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
