Soccer Game Preview: Kearney Catholic vs. North Platte

Kearney Catholic is 0-3 against North Platte since March of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Stars will face off against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Kearney Catholic will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Kearney Catholic proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They beat Roncalli Catholic by a goal, winning 3-2.

Kearney Catholic hit the Crimson Pride with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kaelin Key, Payton Dzingle, and Rylie O'Hare.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Thursday. North Platte fell just short of Gering by a score of 2-1.

North Platte's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Kearney Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Kearney Catholic suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to North Platte when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Stars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
