Basketball Recap: Wayne County Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wayne County can now relate to. The matchup between them and the North Pike Jaguars didn't end well, with the Wayne County War Eagles falling 53-36. The War Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Wayne County has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season. As for North Pike, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.

Wayne County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Pike, they will challenge South Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Jones will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something North Pike surely won't give up without a fight.
