Baseball Recap: Central DeWitt Triumphs

Central DeWitt posted their closest win since June 2nd on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Williamsburg Raiders 3-2. The victory continues a trend for Central DeWitt in their matchups with Williamsburg: they've now won three in a row.

Central DeWitt pushed their record up to 7-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Williamsburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Central DeWitt and Williamsburg will both be playing Notre Dame the next time they take the field. Central DeWitt will host Notre Dame at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while Williamsburg will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
