Basketball Preview: East Bernard Brahmas vs. Van Vleck Leopards
After two games on the road, East Bernard is heading back home. They will take on the Van Vleck Leopards at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Bernard will be strutting in after a win while the Leopards will be coming in after a loss.
East Bernard scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 88-42 win over Harmony School of Discovery on the road. East Bernard has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.
Maddox Crist was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points. Another player making a difference was Ty Domel, who scored 15 points.
Van Vleck has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Boling on Friday.
East Bernard has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Van Vleck, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-9.
East Bernard came up short against the Leopards in their previous meeting back in January, falling 47-37. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Van Vleck's Corey Austin, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
