Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Picks Up 15th Straight Win at Home

Lincoln faced Johnston in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Lions put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-20, 25-14.

Lincoln was led to victory by John Barros and Ariel Donis. Barros had 17 digs and two aces, while Donis had seven digs and two aces. Barros is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games he's played.

They weren't the only good server: Lincoln was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matchups.

Lincoln pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Johnston, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

As of now, neither Lincoln nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
