Baseball Recap: Questa Victorious

Questa's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Mesa Vista Trojans. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won nine in a row.

Ricardo Leon Jr. was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, Joaquin Martinez was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025.

Questa's record now sits at 4-2. As for Mesa Vista, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Questa beat the Trojans by a score of 5-4 later that day.
