Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hand). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Xavier Falcons 65-16. The Tigers have beaten the Falcons the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Falcons has come to flipping the script.

It was another big night for Bobby Reh, who threw for 213 yards and four TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (159.2). Lucca Boyce was in the mix as well, providing Hand with two touchdowns.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Boyce, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Another reason for the win was Hand's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Nate Kessell, Andrew King, and Andrew Young, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Hand's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Xavier, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coming up, Hand will be playing at home against Shelton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Boyce and Cole StPierre. As for Xavier, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Branford at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
