Volleyball Recap: Kierington Wyatt and Ashlynn Bellman Secure Win for Eastern Greene

Eastern Greene's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over North Central. Eastern Greene hasn't had any issues with North Central recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-8, 25-15.

Eastern Greene was led to victory by Ashlynn Bellman and Kierington Wyatt. Bellman had five aces and four digs, while Wyatt had six aces. Those six aces gave Wyatt a new career-high. Shelby Ferkingstad also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Eastern Greene was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. They are a perfect 4-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Eastern Greene's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for North Central, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern Greene will host South Knox at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Linton-Stockton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
