Soccer Recap: Vidor Takes a Loss

Vidor fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Hardin-Jefferson on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks by a score of 3-2. One thing that didn't help the Pirates' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of A.J. Wise.

Daykel Justiz and Braiden Ramos scored both of Vidor's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Vidor dropped their record down to 4-17-1 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Hardin-Jefferson, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vidor will face off against Jasper at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hardin-Jefferson, they will take on Bridge City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bridge City will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Hardin-Jefferson surely won't give up without a fight.
