Recap: Brookfield Bobcats vs. Thomaston Bears
The Brookfield Bobcats waltzed into their matchup Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. Everything went their way against Thomaston as Brookfield made off with a 66-41 victory. That looming 66-41 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Brookfield yet this season.
Shane Weber continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 38 points along with five steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Brookfield's points. Another player making a difference was Geordan Moody, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Brookfield pushed their record up to 5-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Thomaston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
