Basketball Recap: Monarch Royals vs. Mountain Empire Redhawks
The Monarch Royals were the 55-47 winner over the Mountain Empire Redhawks when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Monarch was beaten by the Redhawks 72-26 on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Monarch has scored all season.

Mountain Empire got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Corey Vann out in front who almost dropped a triple-double on 26 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Vann is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Andrew Sepulveda was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
Monarch are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8. As for Mountain Empire, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
