Volleyball Recap: Monroe Central Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Monroe Central lost against Eastern Hancock back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Golden Bears lost 3-0 to the Royals. The Golden Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Monroe Central was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-22, 25-10.

Shyan Bennett paced Monroe Central's offense, picking up five kills. Bennett got some help from Bentley Pegg and her 17 assists. Hadley Hendrickson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Monroe Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Eastern Hancock, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-4.

Monroe Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Anderson Prep Academy on the 20th. As for Eastern Hancock, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Cowan on the 22nd.
