Sanford is 9-0 against Trinidad since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Sanford Mustangs will host the Trinidad Miners at 7:00 p.m. Sanford will be strutting in after a victory while Trinidad will be coming in after a defeat.

Sanford is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing South Park: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Sanford blew South Park out of the water with a 65-17 final score. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Trinidad suffered their biggest loss since December 3, 2024 on Saturday. They were outmatched by Crested Butte and fell 70-42. The Miners haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Trinidad saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jeremiah Romero posted 12 points.

Trinidad's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Sanford, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Sanford against Trinidad in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 65-28 win. Will Sanford repeat their success, or does Trinidad have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
