Soccer Recap: Rockvale Comes Up Short

After flying high against Green Hill last Tuesday, Rockvale came back down to earth. Rockvale fell just short of the Riverdale Warriors by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Rockvale came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Riverdale is ranked 89th).

Rockvale's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5-1. As for Riverdale, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7-2.

Rockvale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverdale, they will head out on the road to challenge Siegel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Siegel will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Riverdale surely won't give up without a fight.
