Softball Recap: Collins Titans vs. George Rogers Clark Cardinals
Collins managed to slip by George Rogers Clark the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Collins came up short against George Rogers Clark on Saturday, falling 15-5. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2018.
Collins saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Betsy England, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. England also got a hit, marking her first of the season. Brooke Peterman was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
Collins dropped their record down to 4-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for George Rogers Clark, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Coming up, Collins will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Henry County at 6:00 p.m. Henry County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Collins surely won't give up without a fight. As for George Rogers Clark, they are taking a road trip to take on West Carter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
